IRE is a specialist work and exchange program that has been running since 1986. Our aim is to provide rural working opportunities to individuals interested in agriculture throughout Australia and the rest of the world. Each year, we place hundreds of international applicants in rural and remote agricultural placements. Additionally, our program can send Australians abroad in their field of interest for a chosen duration, depending on the working season.

At IRE, we are supported by a nationwide network of reliable, trustworthy and experienced host families involved in broad-acre farming, station work, dairy, sheep, beef, horticulture, equine, apiary, agri-mix, farm mechanics and hospitality. Our program not only offers international and Australian applicants the chance to work within a rural enterprise but also helps bridge the gap for farmers and small businesses searching for workers throughout the year.
